Top Ten Resolutions

A big part of New Years Eve is the countdown to the New Year with Dick Clark, and Ryan Seacrest in New York’s Times Square. I know that is a part of New Years that I enjoy. It is the anticipation of a new start coming to a final celebration. It always give me goose bumps. I have many great memories from different New Year’s Eve’s shared with friends and family. So let’s start with number 10.

Number 10: Get Organized – whether it is organizing your house, your workspace, or time management. Many people find that there isn’t enough time in the day, and with proper time management you can fit more in your day, not feel rushed, and get more done.

Number 9: Help Others – Whether it is giving more to charity, or volunteering your time and resources, this is a great resolution. There are many people and organizations that are looking for a helping hand. Finding a cause that is right for you isn’t difficult.

Number 8: Learn Something New – This could be anything. A new language, a new hobby, a new musical instrument, a new skill. The beauty if the internet is that there are a thousand products and services out there to help you learn whatever you want to learn. I have put together a resource that will introduce you to some of those products and services. Although this list is not complete, but a start of where to look.

Number 7: Get Out of Debt – Get the monkey off your back by making an exerted effort to get out of debt. You can’t move forward unless you have taken care of your past expenses. It may take some time and effort, but it is worth it to be completely debt free.

Number 6: Quit Drinking – for some, the bottle brings it’s own set of headaches and heart aches. It comes back to the rule of everything in moderation. Unfortunately for some, that doesn’t count for drinking. There is no middle ground. If that is the case for you, get help. Talk to our friends at Alcoholics Anonymous. If it isn’t that serious, but you feel it will make you healthier and a better person, you are probably right.

Number 5: Enjoy Life More – This one can be tough or easy to define for you to define. Perhaps not. In a previous post we discussed what your Ideal Perfect Day looks like. Check it out here. Once you have that day defined, figure out what your first steps need to be to help you get there. If you need help, we would be happy to give you the help you need. Just sign up for our e-book that gives you the steps you need to succeed.

Number 4: Quit Smoking – Because it will save you money, and save your life. If only it was that easy, to just quit cold turkey and never look back. If you’ve tried that and it doesn’t work, here are some ideas and products that may help.

Number 3: Tame the Bulge – Get your feet away from the front of the fridge and onto the treadmill or to the gym. Let’s get you back into the shape that you want to be in. Make the decision that you are going to lose the weight and nothing can stop you. There are many good programs that will help you lose weight. My friends Craig Ballantyne and Joel Marion have developed this program that will help you lose fat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These guys are experts. Check it out here. (The cool thing about this program is that they let you eat pizza and lose weight – I know, it sounds to good to be true) Take a look.

Number 2: Fit in Fitness - This ties in quite closely with number 3, but with getting fit, it means pushing your body and your accomplishments beyond just losing the weight around your middle. It could mean running a marathon, or climbing a mountain, or entering a triathlon. Getting fit needs to be fun in order for you to do it regularly. Find that fun thing that you know that you can do forever and do it regularly.

and the drum roll please…..
